An American, born in San Francisco, Isadora Duncan revolutionized dance. She's considered to be the mother of MODERN DANCE. She lost her husband to suicide and her two children were drowned in a car accident. Isadora died in a freak accident herself. She was known for wearing long flowing scarves. While a passenger in an automobile, her scarf became tangled in the wheels and she was strangled to death."Affectations can be dangerous."
